Das Institut für Ostasienwissenschaften hat für den Workshop "Decentering the Anthropocene" zahlreiche internationale Gäste geladen und freut sich darauf, mit diesen, neue Perspektiven zum Anthropozän zu ergründen.

Die Veranstaltung besteht aus zwei Teilen:

Donnerstag, 31. Oktober 2019: Discussion on East Asian approaches to the Anthropocene

The idea of Anthropocene was coined in Europe and has been spreading from Europe around the world. Different regions show different reactions to a world of climate change, natural disasters and human induced damage to the environment. On the basis of a recent film from Japan our discussants will introduce East Asian approaches to the Anthropocene and will voice their opinion on why it is important for us to understand these non-European approaches.
