Two new PhD candidates

Christina Gmeinbauer and Brigitte Pickl-Kolaczia

Recently two new PhD candidates have been officially approved!

The first one is Christina Gmeinbauer, BA MA, who taught her first class this summer semester called "Digitale Spiele in der Japanologie". The title of her thesis project is "Thank you mario - but our Princess has left the Castle: Representations of Female Protagonists in Videogames for the Japanese Console Game Market".

The second Phd student is Brigitte Pickl-Kolaczia, BA MA, who was already a tutor in several classes. In the summer semester she also ran the course "Interkulturelles Lernen" and will continue to do so in the next winter semester. The title of her thesis project is "Tokugawa Shinto against Tokugawa Buddhism: religious labour in mito in the second helped of the seventeenth century".
